About the event
In this class, you will be starting with a bar of Damascus and forging it into a traditional Bowie Knife. No experience is required. The class will start at 8:30 am every day and we will break for lunch at around 12:30 - 1:00.
Curriculum:
Day 1:
- Introduction & Safety Briefing (Collect Money)
- History of the Bowie Knife
- Forging the Blade
- Heat Treating
- Grinding
Day2:
- Finish Grinding
- Guard Fit-up
- Handle Fit-up
- Finish
